Rough Form Bowl from Log

After a couple classes at my local woodturners club and 3 different DVD’s, I think I have this log to lumber thing down.

While this will definitely have a complete post later showing how I turned a fallen down tree into a bowl, I still want to post an update on some flame box elder wood I got from my father in law (Previous post HERE).

And yes, it looks rough but it will be final turned once the moisture content is lower.

And also yes, this is my very first bowl!
